Talented Vocational Students Join Fashion Designer Acceleration Program

A total of 20 vocational high school students have been selected to join the Fashion Designer Acceleration program organized by Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) and ESMOD Jakarta fashion school.

"...commitment to strengthening the role of youth in the creative economy sector,"

Focusing on advancing the local fashion industry, this program has been running from October 6 to December 18, 2025.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo mentioned that the program is an innovative effort to produce independent young entrepreneurs.

Therefore, the curriculum, which is normally a one-year course, has been condensed into an intensive four-month program equivalent to 375 learning hours.

According to Ratu, this approach accelerates students' career readiness while equipping them to be competent and competitive in the global fashion industry.

"This program shows the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to strengthening the role of youth in the creative economy sector," she asserted.

Ratu hoes the 20 selected students will become young designers who will bring Jakarta onto the global stage.

"This program ensures they graduate as creative, competent, and competitive young entrepreneurs who are ready to succeed in the international fashion industry," she said.
